Every once in a while, a designer comes along who truly understands how to turn art into fashion — and jewelry. Michelle Janks went from model to fashion designer, but the Australian born genius dabbles in jewelry design as well, something for which we should all be thankful, if only because of what you see here.
By poring over antiques and scouring secondhand stores, Michelle Jank, in her own words, finds poetry in every day life. A bit of lace, some snippets of cloth, a collection of silken flowers, and voila: adornment becomes art and art becomes adornment!
These floral collars double as fashion and jewelry, and whatever way you look at them, you cannot deny the fact that they are breathtakingly beautiful, not to mention highly innovative and unquestionably one of a kind.
