Manolo Blahnik Campari Shoe Charm by TOUS
If you’re a fan of the hit NYC series Sex and the City (or even if you simply love shoes) then you’ve probably heard about the project to turn Manolo Blahnik’s iconic Campari shoe model into jewelry. The famous Spanish designer has commissioned Tous, a well-known name in the jewelry and fashion industry to do the job.
Last summer, the Manolo Blahnik and Rosa Tous met in Madrid, Spain. The idea began when Blahnik praised the piece of jewelry Tous was wearing the day. The latter responded by saying that she could turn one of his shoe designs into a jewelry piece for her own brand. An idea hit Blahnik and suggested that maybe they could use the Campari shoe design. Tous added that she can transform the shoe idea into a charm with a diamond center button and a gold chain. The rest, as they say, is history.
During an interview, Blahnik expressed his excitement about the new project and said that he felt he has so much in common with the jewelry brand starting with the same Spanish roots, family business layout, and innovation. Just the same, Rosa Tous voiced out her delight about the new business venture and her love for classic and beautiful Manolo Blahnik shoes.
The TOUS-designed Campari shoe charm was launched last March in about 300 TOUS stores around the world. The first TOUS store to carry it was in Mexico. Soon after, the TOUS-Blahnik charm will be available in Manolo Blanhik stores and other select posh boutiques worldwide.
