Gucci is a brand that I not only trust, but it is a brand that I absolutely have fallen in love with. Not only is it a matter of status when it comes to Gucci, but it is a matter of perfection.

Gold – gold is all that it is about right now in the way of fashion, however – one particular style that is becoming extremely popular is the bohemian-type of styles. Bohemian-inspired jewelry is something that I have completely fallen in love with. Take these beautiful Byzantine Fashionista earrings – not only do they look beautiful but they are certainly fashionable.

Personally, I love the fact that they are small, hoop earrings. The ruffles along the edges are absolutely incredible and I have to say that the design inside the hoop is totally sweet and fashion-forward.

Now that we have discussed a staple in 2010 – the statement necklace, let’s go ahead and talk about another staple that is slowly but surely making all sorts of waves. Chandelier earrings are something that have been around for quite some time and I can tell you that in 2010 – they are going to explode.

What a lot of people do not know is that chandelier earrings are actually Indian and exotic inspired jewelry and you will see a lot of these particular earrings … exploding with color on the runway in 2010.

Lots of garnet, topaz, black diamonds, pink gold stones and finally a lot of white gold and blues are all going to be accented this year. Pay attention – jewelry is constantly changing but chandelier earrings are never going to go anywhere!

These necklaces have worked their way into all of the fashion shows and have certainly been on the runway for quite some time now but in 2010, they are going to explode. You know the type of necklaces – the giant metal flowers, the huge rocks and stones and even some awesome dangling work.

Jewelry to Avoid this Holiday Season: 2

There are a number of reasons why you may want to think twice before purchasing holiday themed jewelry for yourself or others. For one thing, pieces like this can only be worn during the holiday season. So, it does not really seem worth it to spend money on them.

For another thing, many pieces of holiday jewelry are just a little too cutesy. In addition to only being able to wear them once a year, you run the risk of looking … well, a little tacky, to put it nicely.

Plus, well, frankly people who are really into holiday and Christmas themed jewelry tend to take it a little too far. The Rudolph brooch, the stocking earrings, this necklace, and a sweatshirt featuring an enormous rendering of Santa’s face done in Tulip paints.

You can still celebrate the season and be stylish — remember that!

Not to be a Scrooge and throw a bah humbug all over the holiday joy of jewelry lovers out there, but during the holiday season, and especially during Christmas, there are certain types of jewelry that you really need to avoid — or at least moderate.

We all know someone with a hideous Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer pin, complete with light up nose; or those frightful Santa Claus earrings with eerie, movable joints.

Now, one standard rule of jewelry is that it represents personal taste; it reflects the wearer’s personality. So, some people will prefer diamonds and others will like cute stocking earrings like the ones you see here.

So, if you want to wear your reindeer brooch or your stocking earrings, so be it — but, among other things to avoid, you may not want to give Christmas or holiday jewelry as a gift.

Saffron Lloyd Brings Shooting Stars to Life

I have rarely seen pieces as beautiful as the pieces from Saffron Lloyd that I literally just came across tonight. They are so gorgeous, they honestly stole my breath away.
