“London auctioneers, Bonhams, founded in 1793 and the oldest and largest auction house of fine arts and antiques, is selling a J-shaped brooch once owned by Elton John. They expect it to sell for in the neighborhood of £12,000. Elton wore the diamond and sapphire brooch in his “I Don’t Wanna Go on With You Like That” video. He then sold the brooch in 1993. Made up of five oval sapphires, a cluster of round sapphires and diamonds, the brooch was actually created in 1935.”
I never really liked Elton John and I don’t really like the brooch either — but if you do have a couple thousand spare looking to invest in celebrity jewelry, this one might be fun!
